This year's record snowfall has had a major impact on our budget. The total for this year is $24,789.50. The season's total was $29,966.50. Our annual budget for snow removal was increased to $6,000 last year.

 

The good news is that our community has the reserves to cover this cost. Many HOAs in our area were not prepared for a major expense of this nature and will need to pass a special assessment or increase fees to the cover the cost.

 

The bad news, we will need to re-evaluate our repaving program. We are currently in year 4 of a seven-year program to complete the repaving. The initial estimated cost was $900,000. The board will be also be reviewing other property damage caused by the weather.
